New Managing Director for Conergy Pty Ltd

2 March 2007

Conergy Pty Ltd is pleased to advise the appointment of its new Managing Director Rodger Meads, previously the General Manager of the company’s Perth office (formerly Cap-Aus Pty Ltd), with effect of 02 March 2007.

Rodger has 20 years experience in the solar industry and managed one of the world’s largest solar water heater companies in his previous career. With an intimate knowledge of the Australian solar market and the international solar thermal market, Rodger is already well respected by his colleagues within Conergy and his peers in the global solar thermal industry.

Commenting today, the former Managing Director Christian Langen said: “Rodger brings a wealth of management experience and we at Conergy are looking forward to supporting Rodger managing the company’s solar power and solar thermal business under one combined and expanding brand.”

The appointment of Rodger follows the recent promotion of Christian Langen to a position on the board of the company’s holding company Conergy AG in Hamburg, Germany. Christian has been the founder and Managing Director of the company in Australia in addition to being the key driver for the growth of the Australian operations leading to its current great success in the country’s heavily segmented renewable energy markets. Christian will remain to have a close eye on the Australian operations and continue his active interest in the activities of Conergy Pty Ltd as a non-executive Director.

Since its founding in 2005, the company has seen sales in Australia rise sixfold. A very full project pipeline and the start up of a new sales office in Brisbane once again promise an expansion of its business in 2007. Besides its Sydney office, Conergy Pty Ltd has now established sales offices and distribution centres in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane and currently employs 25 staff. Some of its reference projects include solar electricity systems for the National Archives of Australia in Brisbane, for Randwick Council in Maroubra and Kings Canyon Park.

Conergy would like to extend its thanks to Christian for his excellent management in the successful start-up of the Australian business and best wishes for his new role with Conergy AG.
