Each Conergy standalone system is carefully matched to your requirements by our installers and Conergy system designers to ensure you get long lasting, reliable power from your system away from the grid.
The system outlined below is a typical load profile of a small domestic off grid system.
Load Profile:
- 1 x 24VDC Kelvinator N360J 360 litre frost-free fridge/freezer
- 3 hours use of 34cm colour television/video per day
- 12 hours use of 20 watt lighting per day
- 4 hours use of Pentium based computer / 15” colour monitor
- 30 minutes use of AC domestic pressure pump per day
- 1 load of washing per day - 350 watt washing machine
The estimated daily load requirement for the above equipment is 2kWh/day.
The solar charging contribution is based on 4 full sun hours’ charging per day.

- 5 x Conergy 175 watt 24 volt solar modules
- Conergy SunTop III array frames
- 1 x Latronics LS1824 24Volt 1800 watt sinewave inverter
- 1 x Conergy 40 amp digital voltage regulator
- 1 x Weber battery fuse
- 1 x Solar line fusing
- 4 x Exide Energystore 6RP670 vented batteries or 12 x Sonnenschein A600 2 volt 600Ah sealed gel batteries
- 30m 6mm twin-sheathed cable
The battery capacity is based on the industry standard of 5 day’s power holdover (i.e. the batteries are sized to provide 5 days supply of power as outlined above with zero battery charging applied) and at the end of the 5-day period, the batteries would be discharged to a maximum depth of discharge of 70%.
